Trevor Bauer may get more attention, but Patrick Corbin got the results on Tuesday.

Corbin allowed one hit and struck out six over four scoreless innings as the Diamondbacks edged the Giants, 4-3, in a Cactus League game at Scottsdale, Ariz.

The D-backs' No. 8 prospect retired seven straight batters at one point and ended up walking two. Corbin, who did not figure in the decision, ran into some trouble in the sixth after allowing a leadoff single to Aubrey Huff and walking Ryan Theriot with one out. But the 22-year-old left-hander struck out Brandon Crawford and Brett Pill to end the threat.

Corbin has been lights-out in Spring Training. The 2009 second-round pick lowered his ERA to 0.84 and has allowed only seven hits over 10 2/3 innings in four Cactus League outings.

Bauer,'s No. 9 overall prospect, got the start and gave up two runs on six hits over three innings. The third pick in last year's Draft has a 3.60 ERA this spring.

Former first-round pick A.J. Pollock, the D-backs' No. 6 prospect who entered in the seventh, ended the game with his first Cactus League homer.
